What’s New at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Med Spa of Naples

Our Southwest Florida patients are extremely educated about the options available in the aesthetic space and often ask what new technologies and products are on the market.  Our office is excited to introduce CoolAdvantage®, a fantastic change to a time tested technology, and SkinMedica® HA⁵, a revolutionary new product to hydrate the skin.

We have offered our patients the comfort and ease of non-surgical fat reduction with CoolSculpting® Elite for over 8 years.  During this time, we have consistently seen how CoolSculpting Elite uses cold to sculpt and contour problem areas of the body.  In just one hour, with basically no downtime, patients can target excess fat on the flanks, abdomen, and other areas of the body.

Recently, CoolSculpting launched the CoolAdvantage applicator system.  This new CoolAdvantage system shortens the treatment time to only 35 minutes!  Patients also report less discomfort due to the new design of the applicators.  Since our office has two systems, we can now target trouble areas such as the flanks in just one 35 minute appointment!  Patients are reporting the same excellent results with minimal discomfort and even less downtime.

Advances in aesthetics also play a huge role in skin care products.  SkinMedica, a medical grade skin care company with decades of scientific research and innovative breakthroughs, just released a new product called HA⁵.  HA, short for hyaluronic acid, has been used previously in moisturizers as well as in fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane.  The HA molecule loves water and is a natural hydrator for the skin.  HA⁵   contains 5 forms of hyaluronic acid to serve different functions in the skin: a time released form, a form that provides up to 8 hours of hydration, a skin soothing form, a form for smoothness and hydration, and a form for immediate hydration.

Never before has a product combined all five forms of the HA molecule.  Our patients consider HA⁵ a glass of water for their skin.  The product works to hydrate from below (unlike thick moisturizers which serve as more of a bandaid for dry skin) resulting in healthier looking skin and long-term hydration.
