We recently had the great pleasure of opening a new surgical center for our plastic surgery patients. As many of you know, this is a long-awaited facility , and it brings new and exciting energy for me and my staff.
My patients will benefit, too, whether they are receiving a breast augmentation, tummy tuck, facelift, or other transformative treatment here in Fort Myers, FL. In addition to the modern vibe and focus on comfort, our new facility also recently became accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).
Accreditation is a reflection of our commitment to the highest quality equipment, and experienced staff, the cornerstones that give every patient a safe, relaxing, and successful experience with my practice. Whether a patient is undergoing a breast augmentation, facelift, or even a nonsurgical procedure, this accreditation is an added symbol of trust in our surgeons.
The Highest Quality Surgical Equipment and Facilities
The AAAHC is a private, nonprofit organization. They set and maintain their own standards for healthcare, which are set high above many traditional requirements.
The AAAHC has this to say about its accreditation process: “AAAHC accreditation means that the organization participates in ongoing self-evaluation, peer review, and education to continuously improve its care and services. The organization also commits to a thorough, onsite survey by AAAHC surveyors, who are themselves healthcare professionals, at least every 3 years.”
These standards keep surgeons, their teams, and the equipment and facilities they maintain in top quality.
An Educated, Experienced, and Knowledgeable Team
The standards and regulations set forth by the AAAHC are maintained and upheld through their peer-reviewed accreditation processes, education, and research, putting the doctors, nurses and team of staff who work in the accredited facility at the top of their field.
With a mandatory re-evaluation every 3 years, my team is regularly held accountable to keeping our facility at the same level of achievement. I invite you to get to know my surgical team.
Accreditation goes hand-in-hand with board certification, of course. Patients should seek out board-certified surgeons who have been credentialed by third-party certifying boards, such as the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Similar to the AAAHC, these boards require surgeons to undergo rigorous training and testing to prove their competence and skill before receiving their certification, and they receive ongoing educational support throughout their career.
For the patient, board certification is a promise of skill and experience, which is the most important predictor of excellent results.
Onsite Emergency Care
While it is very rare that an emergency situation should arise, our practice is prepared to manage and stabilize a patient in need, should such an event occur. Our team of staff possesses the knowledge and experience to manage urgent situations, and we have the necessary equipment to handle emergencies.
I invite you to take a quick tour of our office and surgery center. And of course, you are welcome to come to our practice and see it in person. We’d be happy to show you around during your consultation!
