ThermiVa® Vaginal Rejuvenation
Rarely does a treatment option at our Naples-Fort Myers, FL practice generate as much excitement as ThermiVa has. The nonsurgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment addresses both cosmetic and functional concerns you may have, which can positively affect your romantic relationships and give you back the confidence you deserve. Many women seek treatment after having children, but ThermiVa treats a range of issues for women of all ages.
Who Is a Good ThermiVa Candidate?
It can be uncomfortable to talk about the symptoms that affect the labia and vagina. Here’s something that’s important to remember: Many women experience these issues, and by seeking treatment, they’re able to once again enjoy their sexuality and feel confident.
In ThermiVa consultations, which are performed by our board-certified physician assistant Brandie Gostigan, patients commonly describe a few symptoms:
- “Looseness” or laxity in the vaginal tissue, especially following childbirth or menopause
- Vaginal dryness, even during sex
- Trouble enjoying sexual intercourse
- “Leaking” or urinary incontinence
ThermiVa treatments can restore a healthy sense of wellbeing without surgery or downtime. Many women thinking about ThermiVa combine the treatment with surgical procedures, such as a tummy tuck and breast augmentation, as part of a Mommy Makeover. Brandie can work with you to customize a treatment plan.
Other Feminine Rejuvenation Options
In some cases, a patient may be a better candidate for a surgical feminine rejuvenation procedure than ThermiVa. Brandie will discuss possible options with you during your consultation and refer you to Dr. Hasen if you are interested.
- Labiaplasty reshapes the inner labia (minora), outer labia (majora), or both sets of labia. This procedure improves physical and emotional comfort by removing excess skin and tissue that may hang and get pulled.
- Liposuction and fat grafting can be used to restore fullness to the labia majora with injections of the patient’s own fat. Liposuction may also be used to reduce excessive fullness of the labia majora or the mons pubis.
*Your results may vary.
How Much Does ThermiVa Cost?
ThermiVa treatments at our Naples practice typically range from $2,000 to $3,000. While price is a necessary consideration, for optimal results and safety, it’s important to choose an appropriately trained and experienced provider who offers both surgical and nonsurgical options.
The ThermiVa Procedure
ThermiVa treatments gently heat tissue using radiofrequency (RF) energy, the same technology used in nonsurgical skin tightening treatments. The technician uses a unique wand applicator on the external labia and vulvar tissues. Depending on your treatment concerns, the applicator may also be inserted into the vagina to rejuvenate lax tissue and other structures.
This safe and comfortable procedure tightens vaginal tissue and restores sensation — with no anesthesia, no incisions, and no needles. You can immediately return to your normal activities after the procedure. You may also have sexual intercourse the same day as your ThermiVa treatment.
While patients may experience some immediate firming, lasting improvements develop gradually as collagen production and blood flow increase in treated areas. For optimal results, we recommend a series of 3 treatments, spaced approximately 1 month apart. Once achieved, the results of ThermiVa can be long lasting.
