Silicone Breast Implants Before & After Case 90

This 32 year old female was interested in breast enhancement with silicone breast implants to help correct her breast deflation (involutional ptosis) after pregnancy and breast feeding.  The patient had friends who were past patients of Kent V. Hasen, M.D. - Naples based Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.  She was impressed by her friends results and made a consultation to she what her options were for breast augmentation and breast lift with breast cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Hasen.  The patient had significant asymmetry of the breasts with drooping and large areolae.  Dr. Hasen suggested bilateral mastopexy (breast lift) using the circular areolar lift technique (circumareolar mastopexy).  The patient preferred the idea of silicone filled breast implants over saline because of the more natural feel and less chance of implant rippling and palpability.  The silicone implants in this case were placed in the subfascial plane above the muscle but below the breast tissue and below the thick covering of the pectoralis muscle.  Note that the subfascial plane allowed the patient to have a nice natural slope to the top of the breast which is commonly not seen if the implant is just in the subglandular position.  The patient is shown 3 months after breast lift with breast augmentation using 325 cc silicone filled breast implants.  She is very happy that the deflated appearance of breasts after breast feeding has been completely elimnated.  She loves the new size, (34 D bra) and her new look.
