Our medical weight loss program includes safe, proven weight loss medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide and ongoing support from registered nurse Wendy Sparks.

What Are Semaglutide and Tirzepatide? 

Originally used as type 2 diabetes medications, semaglutide and tirzepatide are injectable prescription medications that can help people lose weight. Both act like the body’s natural appetite-suppressing hormone glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) to regulate blood sugar levels and control hunger, fullness, and cravings.  

Who Is a Good Candidate? 

You may be a good candidate for weight loss medications if you meet either of the following criteria: 

• Have a BMI of 30 or higher.  

• Have a BMI of 27 and at least one weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol.  

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are not recommended for women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. 

How Do I Get Started? 

To start our medical weight loss program, you will meet with Wendy Sparks, CRNA, for a 1-hour consultation to determine whether you are a candidate for these weight loss injections. During this appointment, Wendy will: 

• Review your medical history.  

• Choose the medication best suited to your needs. 

• Review side effects, risks, benefits, and expected results.   

• Perform your first injection. 

• Check your glucose levels.  

• Take full-body pictures and measurements. 

For optimal short- and long-term results, we recommend combining weight loss medications with a reduced-calorie diet and consistent exercise. 

Ongoing Support 

After starting the program, you will meet with Wendy once a week to: 

• Check your vital signs. 

• Record your weight. 

• Adjust your dosage (if needed). 

• Discuss any symptoms or concerns. 

• Provide your injection. 

Many patients enhance their weight loss goals with HYDRAhealth™ IV/IM therapy, such as Active B12 shots, Lipo-Blaster IV therapy, and other options our aesthetic nurse Amanda performs. 

What Are the Possible Side Effects of Semaglutide and Tirzepatide? 

Side effects of weight loss medications are typically temporary and commonly include gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and constipation. We help patients avoid or minimize side effects by gradually increasing the dosage.
