Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 60

Women who have uneven or misshapen nipples often can benefit from breast enhancement. This 27 year old woman from Ft. Myers was concerned both with her flat breasts and unflattering nipple appearance. She had a tough time finding shirts that fit well, and she always felt self-conscious at the beach.

This Southwest Florida patient had considered cosmetic surgery with breast implants for a long time. Over the years, she sought many consultations with cosmetic surgeons in Ft. Myers and Naples, but she never felt comfortable enough with the surgeons. It was important for her to find a cosmetic surgeon with the proper credentials, including board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, which is the only board for plastic surgery recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. At her consultation, I recommended 330 cc moderate plus, smooth round, saline breast implants to fill the upper breast area in particular. I used an inframammary incision, and placed the implants below the pectoral muscle because the patient has very little subcutaneous fat. The wide spacing of her nipples limited the amount of cleavage I was able to achieve post-operatively, but fuller breasts make the nipples much more attractive. She’s shown 1 year after cosmetic surgery.
