Should You Try NeoGraft® for Hair Restoration? 4 Signs You’re Ready

There are more options than ever available today when it comes to hair restoration. At my practice serving the Fort Myers and Naples, FL, areas, I’m dedicated to providing only the most effective and least invasive approaches, and in many cases, that means NeoGraft.

If you’re wondering whether NeoGraft may be the right hair restoration option for you, here are a few signs you might be ready.

You feel self-conscious about your hair.

If worries about your hairline are keeping you from feeling like your most confident self, it’s a sign you might greatly benefit from investing in a powerful treatment.

It’s not uncommon for people to have fleeting moments of concern about their hair, or to notice it when they’re looking closely in the mirror. However, if worries about your hairline take up much of your time or you catch yourself feeling down about it every time you see photos of yourself, opting for restoration may bring a significant boost of confidence to your life.

You’re ready for the procedure and recovery process.

You’ve done your research into what NeoGraft involves and feel confident the treatment would be worthwhile for you.

If you’re new to the procedure, here is a brief overview:

  • Procedure: The NeoGraft machine extracts hair follicles from the donor site (usually the back of the head) using pneumatic pressure. It then precisely transplants these follicles into thinning areas.
  • Anesthesia: Only a local anesthetic for the scalp is necessary. During your appointment, you’ll be awake and free to relax and get up to stretch your legs as needed.
  • Recovery: You won’t have any stitches in place and will only need to avoid washing your hair or rubbing your scalp for about a week.
  • Results: The newly transplanted hair will shed after about 2 weeks and will then adapt to a normal growth cycle with long-lasting results.

At your consultation, I’m happy to answer any in-depth questions you may have to help you make an informed decision about whether NeoGraft will benefit you. You can learn more about the play-by-play of what will happen during the procedure in my previous blog post.

Other hair restoration options aren’t cutting it.

Topical products and nonsurgical treatments aren’t giving you the results you’re looking for. While some treatments or products can help stimulate hair growth to an extent, a transplant procedure is typically the best way to address more significant thinning or balding. After NeoGraft, these other methods can help maintain consistent growth for even longer.

You want strong results but without the scar.

NeoGraft may be a great option for you if you’re looking for the results of a hair transplant but want to avoid the linear scar associated with strip excision. Because NeoGraft gently extracts each follicle uniformly, it doesn’t leave behind an obvious scar, just small circular marks that are easily hidden even under very short hair. Some people even opt for the procedure primarily for its ability to reduce the appearance of a previous linear strip excision scar.
