Shop NowWhile both are resurfacing lasers, Contour TRL is an erbium:YAG laser that is gentler than a CO2 laser. It requires shorter downtime for the same level of resurfacing and offers more control over treatment depth.
To minimize discomfort, we use topical numbing cream for light treatments and local anesthetic for deeper treatments.
Contour TRL treatments take about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the targeted areas. Your provider will cleanse the skin, administer the appropriate anesthetic, place shields over your eyes, and then pass the device over your treatment area.
Contour TRL treatments involve 2 to 4 weeks of downtime. While this is an ideal deep resurfacing treatment, your provider can adjust its intensity to fit your level of downtime availability.
Patients notice improvements in wrinkles, texture, and tone in about a week. With deeper treatments, skin tightness and elasticity will improve for about 2 to 6 months.
Most patients need just 1 to 2 treatments to address their concerns. Lighter treatments may require as many as 6 treatments, each spaced about a month apart.
