Silicone Breast Implants Before & After Case 94

34 year old female who was concerned with the appearance of her breasts who sought the expertise in breast augmentation of cosmetic plastic surgeon, Kent V. Hasen, M.D.  She had several friends who were thrilled with their results from breast augmentation performed by Dr. Hasen.  The patient chose to have silicone breast implants over saline implants because she was very concerned with palpability of the implants and possible visible wrinkling, which is much less in patients with silicone breast implants.  Additionally, the patient chose to have the implants placed in the subfascial plane to avoid distortion contracture of the implants with contraction of the chest muscle.  The thick fascia allows for adequate coverage of the top of the implant to avoid a sharp step off even in larger implants if the patient has enough soft tissue coverage in that area.  Finally, the patient chose to have her breast augmentation surgery by board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Kent Hasen through an inframammary incision at the fold or bottom of the breast.  This incision can result in an excellent scar that is well concealed as in her case.
