JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC

For our Naples and Fort Myers filler patients, visiting our office regularly for touch-ups is a fact of life. While appointments every 6 or 9 months aren’t much of an inconvenience for most, Allergan has introduced a new addition to the JUVÉDERM family that allows patients to go even longer between appointments without sacrificing their beautiful results. It’s called VOLLURE, and we’re proud to offer it here at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery & Med Spa of Naples.

What It Treats

Like other hyaluronic acid fillers, JUVÉDERM VOLLURE is FDA approved to fill moderate to severe lines and wrinkles around the face. It’s especially popular for nasolabial folds, the lines that extend from your nose to the corners of your mouth. It can also be used to treat other facial wrinkles, including marionette lines and lip lines.

How It’s Different

VOLLURE uses a patented crosslinking technology called VYCROSS®, which binds hyaluronic acid molecules of different weights together to make it smoother, more malleable, longer lasting, and better tolerated. VOLLURE is the first, and presently the only, hyaluronic acid filler that’s been proven to last for up to 18 months — almost twice as long as many other hyaluronic acid-based fillers. Going more than a year between treatments is a dream come true for many injectable filler and BOTOX® Cosmetic patients at our medical spa here in Naples-Fort Myers.

Successfully used in Europe since 2013 (under the trade name VOLIFT®), VOLLURE represents an exciting new era in injectable wrinkle treatments.

Your Experience

At Aesthetic Plastic Surgery & Med Spa of Naples, injectable fillers are administered by either Dr. Hasen or his physician assistant, Brandie. Dr. Hasen or Brandie will cleanse the skin at your treatment site and can apply a topical numbing agent, if you like. VOLLURE is formulated with a very effective anesthetic called lidocaine, so the procedure is quite comfortable, even without a topical product. Your practitioner then injects small amounts of the product into your specified treatment areas. This process only takes a few moments, and you’ll likely experience a brief pinching sensation.

Immediately after your treatment, you’re offered a cold compress to help minimize initial swelling. You should expect your total appointment time to last between 30 and 45 minutes, making treatment with VOLLURE especially ideal for working professionals and those who don’t have a lot of free time.

Immediately after your visit, you can return to your normal daily activities. Expect some mild injection site reactions, including bruising, bleeding, swelling, tenderness, or itching, for a day or so after your treatment. As with other hyaluronic acid-based fillers, VOLLURE is very well tolerated by most patients and doesn’t require an allergy test before treatment.

You can expect your results to last for up to 18 months, depending on where VOLLURE was administered. Results tend to wear off a bit faster in areas of the face that move frequently. Each patient is different and the results you experience are likely to be unique.

We’re proud to bring our patients some of the most exciting innovations in aesthetic medicine, and we look forward to helping you look your best. Request a consultation online, or call Dr. Hasen’s office at (239) 262-5662.
