Case details
This 16-year-old had male breast enlargement (gynecomastia) since puberty that did not respond to testosterone injections. The patient underwent male breast reduction surgery by Kent V. Hasen, M.D., in Naples-Fort Myers. The procedure included liposuction . Dr. Hasen is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in body contouring cosmetic surgery and he upholds the highest standards of safety and training in plastic surgery. This patient underwent liposuction combined with direct excision of breast tissue and areolar reduction to produce this result, which is shown 2 months after the procedure. Dr. Hasen removed 850 cc of liposuction aspirate from each breast and 30 grams of breast tissue from under each nipple complex. The patient is now less embarassed to take off his shirt at school and participate in activities.
